I have been teaching for over 20 years, during which I have received various awards and a teaching accreditation in adult education.

As a teacher I have always tried to be generous, inspirational and giving and because of this I have always found that what you give you get back one thousand fold.  I want to share the joy of heirloom sewing with you in my Carriage Studio.

I have international recognition as an heirloom sewing and embroidery teacher, designer and author. My experience includes the following...

  • I have taught in the USA once or twice a year for the last 8 years at the Martha Pullen School in Huntsville Alabama and Australia.
  • My designs have been published in Martha Pullen books and Sew beautiful magazines.
  • Anne's Glory Box, Stitches and other Australian magazines have also published my work.
  • Major sewing machine companies have incorporated my sewing skills in a variety of promotions.
  • I have taught for the Smocking Guild of NSW.
  • I conducted dealer training at the bi-annual Janome Conference on Hamilton Island, September 1998 and 2000.
  • I have taught at a number of locations in the city including the Crewel Gobelin at Killara for over 10 years and The Embroidery Cupboard at Lane Cove.
  • I have also taught in various areas of NSW including Anne's Glory Box Newcastle, Janet Edmond's Workshops in Gresford, also Dubbo & Bathurst.
  • I taught at the Macarthur Community College for 7 years.
