About Lynne Holyoake Heirloom Sewing
I have been teaching for over 20 years, during which time I have received various awards and a teaching accreditation in adult education As a teacher I have always tried to be generous, inspirational and giving and because of this I have always found that what you give you get back a thousand fold. I want to share the joy of heirloom sewing with you in my Carriage Studio. I have international recoginition as an heirloolm sewing and embroidery teacher, designer and author. I have taught in the USA once or twice a year for the last 10 years at the Martha Pullen School in Huntsville Alabama and Australia
- My designs have been published in Martha Pullen books and Sew Beautiful magazines
- Anne's Glory Box, Stitches and other Australian magazines have also published my work
- Major sewing machine companies have incorportated my sewing skills in a variety of promotions.
- I have taught for the Smocking Guild of NSW
- I conducted dealer training at the bi-annual Janome Conference on Hamilton Island,September 1998 and 2000 and taught at the Martha Pullen Janome Licencing
- I conducted dealer training at the Husqvarna Viking conference and I am currently a Husqvarna Viking ambassador.
- I have taught at a number of locations in Sydney including the Crewel Gobelin at Killara the Embroidery Cupboard at Lane Cove, The cottage Camden
- I have also taught in various areas of NSW including Anne's Glory Box, Newcastle, Janet Edmonds Workshops in Gresford, also Dubbo and Bathurst
- I taught at the Macarthur Community College for 7 years
- My Carriage Studio has now been open since the year 2000 and the classes here have been a great joy and inspirtation to me with lots of beautiful things being made.
